About the role#
Marathon Petroleum offers internship and co-op opportunities for high-performing college students. You will work alongside experienced professionals as a contributing member of a team. This role provides hands-on experience in information technology while you work toward your degree.
What you'll do#
- Act as a liaison between IT and business units to translate requirements into system solutions.
- Support the development and execution of cloud strategy within the existing IT infrastructure.
- Assist with system configuration, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Ensure the reliability and quality management of data processing.
- Collaborate with engineers and business teams to meet technical and operational requirements.
What you'll need#
- Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic performance.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.
- Military experience is considered a plus.
- Pay is between $24.95 and $31.19 per hour.

- This is an on-site internship for the Fall 2027 term.
- Locations include Findlay, Ohio, and San Antonio, Texas.
- This is a full-time position.
