About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the refining industry. You will work alongside professional teams to understand how different engineering disciplines function together. You will gain exposure to various refinery operations, develop your technical skills, and improve your professional communication.
What you'll do#
As an Area Refining Engineer, you will create project scopes, estimates, and schedules. You will oversee design efforts and assist in the construction process for assigned projects.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will support the maintenance department by:
- Performing root cause failure analysis on refinery equipment.
- Troubleshooting fixed equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
- Optimizing maintenance programs for rotating equipment like pumps and compressors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- A strong academic record.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work on-site for the Fall 2027 term.
- Preference is given to students available for multiple work terms.
