Marathon Petroleum believes that how we conduct our business is just as important as the bottom line.Responsibilities:As part of MPLX, a midstream company majority owned by MPC, Logistics & Storage Engineering (L&SE) is an engineering service and project management organization comprised of engineering and other resources that primarily manage project work associated with Marathon Pipe Line (MPL), Terminals, and Marine organizations within MPLX.L&SE Project Controls interns/co-ops partner with L&SE project engineers to support projects through all five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP): conceptual, feasibility, definition, implementation, and close-out/start-up. Participants will gain hands-on experience with Project Controls standards, practices, and procedures. Typical responsibilities include:Developing and maintaining project schedules, including milestone tracking and resource planningPerforming cost control activities such as forecasting, accruals, and cost allocationMonitoring key project metrics and performance indicators across a portfolio of projectsPreparing regular project status updates and reports for managementQualifications:Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or Finance.
