About the role#
This internship or co-op program provides hands-on experience within the Natural Gas and NGL Services division of MPLX. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects and routine operations that support our midstream infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop project scopes, including estimating, scheduling, design, contractor engagement, and construction oversight.
- Support DOT-regulated pipeline integrity and maintenance programs.
- Perform field work at pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, gas processing plants, and related facilities.
- Assist with midstream initiatives in areas such as automation and controls, electrical engineering, process optimization, reliability engineering, corrosion, and measurement services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance.
- Availability to work on-site 40 hours per week.
- A valid driver's license for work-related travel and reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Preference is given to candidates available for multiple work terms.
