Intern/Co-op - Midstream Logistics and Storage Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering (Spring 2027)

About the role#

The Logistics and Storage (L&S) engineering intern/co-op program is designed to develop future technical and leadership talent. Participants work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience across the five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP): Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, and Start-up/Close-out. The program may consist of multiple work sessions, allowing for rotation across different L&S components to gain exposure to various business segments.

What you'll do#

• Develop project scope and perform technical design work.
• Assist with cost estimating and schedule development.
• Evaluate and summarize bid sets.
• Provide construction supervision and engineering oversight.
• Coordinate with operations groups and manage project documentation.
• Demonstrate safety leadership on-site.
• Travel to construction sites (15-45% of the time).

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
• A valid driver's license for travel to construction sites.
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
