About the role#
The Logistics and Storage intern and co-op program is designed to develop future technical and leadership talent within the engineering profession. Participants work alongside experienced professionals as contributing members of diverse teams. The program may consist of multiple work sessions, allowing for rotations across different components of the Logistics and Storage organization to gain exposure to various business segments.
What you'll do#
Interns and co-ops gain hands-on experience across the five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process: Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, and Start-up/Close-out. Responsibilities include:
- Developing project scope
- Providing engineering oversight and technical design
- Performing cost estimating and schedule development
- Evaluating and summarizing bid sets
- Conducting construction supervision
- Providing safety leadership
- Coordinating with operations groups
- Managing project documentation
Travel to construction sites is required for many projects, ranging from 15% to 45% of the time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
- A valid driver's license.
- Preference is given to candidates available for multiple work terms.
