About the role#
Marathon Petroleum offers internship and co-op opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience within our Commercial organization. You will work alongside experienced professionals as a contributing member of a team, helping to create value for the company. This is a paid, full-time position for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
Depending on your placement, your responsibilities may include:
- Scheduling the delivery of light products, feedstocks, and biofuels by pipeline or waterborne transportation.
- Monitoring inventories at terminals and refineries on a daily basis.
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.
- Supporting coordination efforts across various departments to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting Commercial systems and applications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree or higher program in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or Data Science.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Authorization to work in the US on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Military experience is considered a plus.
