About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, business analysis, and strategic decision-making. You will join the Global Wealth & Asset Management team to support financial operations and contribute to reporting that informs executive decisions. This role is designed for students who want to build technical and professional skills in a corporate finance environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Develop a working knowledge of Global Wealth & Asset Management operations, including retail, retirement, and institutional advisory.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in creating new reports and metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to management reporting for business units, Group Finance, Investor Relations, and Strategy teams.
- Develop and enhance financial and non-financial performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Perform data analysis and validation with a focus on accuracy and financial integrity.
- Identify ways to improve reporting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with finance partners and cross-functional stakeholders on reporting initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience working with financial models, large datasets, or quantitative analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and build relationships with team members.
- Experience with financial reporting systems, business intelligence tools, or Essbase is an asset.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship with an expected salary range of $44,850 to $60,450 CAD, pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
