About the role#
The Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) team offers a summer internship for students interested in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and risk management. You will work on strategic initiatives that support intelligence-led decision-making within a global financial services organization. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world business challenges and serves as a potential pathway to our Graduate Recruitment Opportunities program.
What you'll do#
- Support the automation of monthly reporting for the risk and intelligence function.
- Assist in delivering machine learning, large language model (LLM), and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Drive process improvements for data collection, analysis, and dashboard development to generate actionable insights.
- Validate AI and analytics models to ensure they meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain scripts in Python or R to test model performance and automate monitoring.
- Monitor and prepare data quality within the Enterprise Data Lake.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to support strategic risk initiatives.
- Document processes, procedures, and project work as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Risk Management, or Finance.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
- Experience with data preparation, cleaning, and analysis.
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
