About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Summer 2027 internship within the Canadian Real Estate Finance Group. You will join a team focused on financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management. This role offers exposure to real estate valuation and fixed income investment processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analysis, including discounted cash flow modeling and real estate valuation.
- Participate in fixed income investment underwriting and risk assessment.
- Support portfolio managers and research analysts with market and issuer analysis.
- Assist with administrative tasks and client services for high net-worth clients.
- Manage internal systems for risk reporting and hedging to ensure data accuracy.
- Write research reports and build financial models as part of the investment process.
- Conduct credit analysis and screen borrowers for lending officers.
- Work on special projects, including ESG assessments and industry trend analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and a solid understanding of economic and business principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle tight deadlines.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- Preference is given to candidates pursuing a CFA designation.
