About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship within the Sustainable Investment Integration team at Aflac Global Investments. You will work on projects that support our investment platform, using data to inform business decisions. The role provides exposure to insurance asset management, fixed income, and investment risk management. You will interact with senior management and present your projects to key stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with various departments across the insurance asset management team.
- Support the analysis and reporting of company commitments, including PRI, CDP, and TCFD.
- Help integrate environmental and social analysis into the investment process.
- Research industry trends and best practices in sustainability.
- Maintain large data sets and identify trends to guide stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues in legal, compliance, financial risk, and operational risk management.
- Develop desk models to capture daily team activities.
- Deliver written and verbal presentations to stakeholders.
- Participate in company and department-wide meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a STEM field.
- A strong interest in investments, finance, asset management, and insurance.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship management abilities.
- A basic understanding of financial statements.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. and physical location within the continental U.S. for the duration of the internship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in New York City, New York.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the office at least 60% of the work week.
