About the role#
This student internship supports the food services team at the Earl C. Clements Job Corps center. You will assist cooks and kitchen staff with daily meal preparation while following government and management safety directives.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize food preparation, storage, and dish room areas to meet health standards.
- Move ingredients and supplies to the cooking area as directed.
- Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts.
- Maintain a safe workspace that meets professional standards.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Earl C. Clements Job Corps student.
- You should be a program completer ready for work based learning.
- You must be able to obtain a Servsafe certification or food handlers permit within 90 days of starting.
- You should have an aptitude for kitchen work.
- You must follow all sanitation dress code regulations.
Location & details#
- Location: Morganfield, Kentucky.
- Pay: $17.20 per hour.
- Schedule: Part time, rolling term.
- Work modality: On-site.
