About the role#
This is a part-time student internship at the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo. You will support the recreation department by assisting supervisors and advisors with daily operations. This role pays $18.50 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Monitor recreational areas and activities.
- Clean and set up equipment for scheduled programs.
- Provide customer service to students and staff.
- Participate in leadership training and attend all required staff training sessions.
- Maintain property accountability and follow safety practices.
- Model appropriate behaviors and mentor students.
- Use interventions to monitor student behavior.
- Support and promote the center's Zero Tolerance Policy.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 90 days in the program.
- No NIRs or excessive absences within the last 90 days.
- A letter of recommendation from your academic or trade instructor and your Senior Residential Advisor.
Location & details#
- Location: Waimanalo, Hawaii.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 1 to 12 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Term: Rolling.
