About the role#
This internship supports the food services team in preparing meals for students. You will report to the food services supervisor and help maintain health standards across the facility. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Manhattan, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Assist cooks and helpers with meal preparation.
- Handle cleaning and sanitation in the food preparation, storage, and dish room areas.
- Move ingredients and supplies to the cooking area as directed.
- Manage tasks at the student snack bar.
- Maintain the outside area and complete other assigned duties in the Admin Building.
- Work shifts that include evenings and some weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Job Corps student.
- Completion of required coursework and readiness for work-based learning.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- A valid student card.
- Enrollment in the Culinary Arts program is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Manhattan, Kansas.
- Pay: $17.20 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time with rolling start dates.
