About the role#
This is a part-time internship for students to assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of the center. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets government and management standards.
What you'll do#
- Keep assigned areas clean and orderly.
- Maintain flooring by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and sweeping.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures.
- Wash walls, windows, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Dust furniture including desks, bookshelves, and cabinets.
- Collect and dispose of trash and litter from grounds, streets, and parking lots.
- Sweep exterior entrances, steps, landings, and sidewalks.
- Use cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants as directed.
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the center and grounds.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Los Angeles Job Corps student.
- You must be reliable and available to work evenings and some weekends.
