About the role#
The Maintenance Intern provides administrative and purchasing support to help the maintenance team run smoothly. You will manage part records, track inventory levels, and handle the procurement process for maintenance supplies.
What you'll do#
- Create and submit purchase requisitions in SAP.
- Monitor the status of requisitions and follow up with approvers to ensure timely processing.
- Coordinate with buyers to finalize purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors via phone and email regarding order status and delivery schedules.
- Maintain maintenance part records and ensure data entry accuracy.
- Manage and track maintenance parts inventory to support daily operations.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience in administrative support, purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or customer service is preferred.
- SAP experience with purchasing and inventory management is highly desirable.
- Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Electricity certifications and exposure to Warehouse Management Systems are pluses.
