About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program at M&T Bank, based within the Wealth Management division of Wilmington Trust. Interns participate in professional development, career growth initiatives, and department projects. You will gain exposure to various bank functions through guest speakers and industry leaders while building a network with peers. This role is full-time and paid, with a compensation range of $18.00 to $28.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Perform duties of an entry-level professional nature within the Wealth Management team.
- Analyze trust documents and prepare memos regarding administrative and governing terms.
- Evaluate distribution and termination requests.
- Prepare client books for existing and prospective clients.
- Meet with stakeholders across the organization, including Relationship Managers, Trust Officers, Legal, Estate Administration, and Compliance teams.
- Observe committee meetings related to trust administration, including those covering new business and unique assets.
- Collaborate on a final capstone project involving a client book and a pitch meeting.
- Adhere to internal policies, external regulations, and risk management standards.
- Identify and escalate risk-related issues and maintain internal control standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
