About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers students exposure to the Family Wealth Investment team at M&T Bank. You will learn how the firm provides investment management services to complex wealth advisory clients. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives to build professional skills and gain insight into the wealth management business, including financial planning, trust and estate services, and family office solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support Investment Advisors and Investment Associates with daily client service activities.
- Prepare and review materials for upcoming client meetings.
- Collaborate with client service team members.
- Maintain knowledge of financial markets, the Wilmington Trust investment process, and firm service offerings.
- Complete entry-level professional tasks assigned to your department.
- Ensure all work follows internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management.
- Help maintain internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the bank brand.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
