About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience within Mortgage Operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the end-to-end mortgage lending process, from initial application submission through to loan closing. The role provides insight into how the bank supports credit quality, regulatory compliance, and customer service while preparing loans for the secondary market or the bank's balance sheet.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level professional duties within your assigned department.
- Ensure all activities follow internal policies and external regulations.
- Follow the company risk appetite and identify issues that require management escalation.
- Design and maintain internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Support an inclusive environment that reflects the bank brand.
- Complete internal audit points and address regulatory issues as needed.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Operations Management.
