About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program focuses on professional development and building skills within the Commercial Treasury Management Implementation and Fulfillment team. You will support the onboarding of commercial clients to treasury products and services, including payment, reporting, and cash management solutions. You will work alongside Sales, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to help clients adopt these services. The role offers exposure to other departments through guest speakers and networking opportunities with peers.
What you'll do#
- Complete entry-level professional duties specific to treasury management implementations.
- Ensure all activities follow internal policies and external regulations.
- Follow risk and regulatory standards while identifying issues that require management escalation.
- Design and maintain internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Support process improvement initiatives and project execution.
- Promote a work environment that supports belonging and the M&T Bank brand.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
- Detail-oriented approach to tasks.
