About the role#
As a Nurse Extern at Saline Memorial Hospital, you will gain hands-on clinical experience while working under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will rotate throughout the facility to work with interdisciplinary teams, helping to build your clinical skills and confidence in a patient-centered environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to your supervising RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families to provide appropriate education.
- Document the patient care you provide.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient support and transitions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing school.
- One year or less of nursing school remaining.
- Completion of all required hands-on check offs.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Benton, Arkansas.
- The position is paid and offered on an on-site, PRN basis.
- Scheduling includes varied shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
