About the role#
As a Student Nurse Technician, you will provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with common nursing functions and daily living activities, with tasks tailored to your current academic progress. This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Take and record vital signs and monitor daily weights.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Perform medication reconciliation.
- Educate patients on their plan of care, disease process, and medications.
- Complete sterile and aseptic procedures under the direction of an RN.
- Document patient data in the electronic medical record.
- Answer call lights and perform hourly rounding.
- Assist the care team during emergency situations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor level nursing program.
- Completion of at least one semester of clinicals in an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with nursing fundamentals in a lab or clinical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Schedule: PRN shift.
