About the role#
The Nursing Clinical Internship is a 10-week, full-time, paid program at Avera Heart Hospital. It runs during the summer of 2027. You will work in a heart and vascular setting to gain real-world experience.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a designated Registered Nurse preceptor to expand your clinical skills.
- Learn directly from experienced health care workers.
- Deliver patient care within the hospital environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited RN program for an Associate or Bachelor degree.
- Completion of an academic clinical experience.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Status as a student within 1 or 2 semesters of graduation by the time the internship begins.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- The role is on-site and requires full-time availability.
- Shifts rotate between days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
