About the role#
This is a part-time Patient Care Tech position for current nursing students. You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide safe and quality care to patients. This role involves direct and indirect patient care activities across our hospital locations.
What you'll do#
- Help patients with daily tasks like bathing, feeding, and walking.
- Take patient vitals and handle care documentation.
- Manage medical supplies.
- Move patients through the hospital using elevators.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current nursing student.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- You need the physical ability to lift heavy objects, push, pull, and stand for long shifts.
- You must successfully complete a mandatory 1-week Patient Care Tech training program. These classes run Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy.

- This is an on-site role based in Albany and Troy, New York.
- The position is part-time with a rotating shift schedule.
