About the role#
This position is designed for students currently attending Mount Carmel College of Nursing who are seeking employment while completing their studies. As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients. This role is available on a full-time basis with rotating shifts.
What you'll do#
- Assist patients with personal care and daily living activities, including bathing, skin care, grooming, and eating.
- Obtain vital signs, including height, weight, blood glucose levels, and intake and output measurements.
- Perform EKG and phlebotomy tasks as delegated by a Staff RN.
- Document patient data accurately and completely.
- Maintain assigned patient rooms to ensure they are stocked, clean, and orderly.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of EKG and phlebotomy courses.
- Completion of a clinical competency course upon hire or transfer.
- Current BLS healthcare provider training.
- Previous patient care experience or technical education in a health-related field is preferred.
