About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Melbourne, Florida, for a 12 to 14 week period. You will collaborate with experienced staff in the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems line of business, gaining hands-on experience through technical projects and daily quality engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Collect data and review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and conformance.
- Coordinate quality engineering activities across multiple programs.
- Support the incoming inspection process for purchased materials.
- Gather and assemble data for the engineering team.
- Conduct data analysis to assist the Quality Engineering group.
- Complete technical projects and perform various tasks to learn engineering methods and practices.
- Support and reinforce the mission and values of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Completion of at least 2 years of college with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous internship, co-op, or extracurricular experience.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team.
- U.S. Citizenship is required to access US-only data systems.
- An active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
