About the role#
ExxonMobil Global Trading offers a development track for early career professionals to build expertise in energy markets. You will receive hands-on experience from your first day through a combination of structured learning and mentorship. The program includes three primary tracks: Trading Analytics, Trading Data, Analytics and AI, and the Trader Development Program.
What you'll do#
- Perform fundamental market analysis and use data to develop actionable insights.
- Develop analytical market views to support trading decisions and monitor key market events.
- Enhance decision-making across energy trading desks by delivering rapid prototyping in data engineering, software development, and visualization.
- Code data pipelines and solve big data problems within an agile environment.
- Complete multiple rotations in operations, risk, and analytics to gain experience.
- Participate in formal training and receive mentorship from Senior Traders.
What you'll need#
- Graduation in 2026 or 2027, or graduation within the last three years.
- Strong academic performance in disciplines such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in physical commodities and financial markets.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in an international team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
- For Trading Data, Analytics, and AI candidates: proficiency in Python, C#, or SQL and working knowledge of version control and CI/CD tools.
