About the role#
As a Software Engineer Summer Intern, you will join the AI and Data Group. You will work on designing, building, testing, and maintaining large-scale data-intensive applications. This role offers the chance to interact directly with senior investment bankers and portfolio managers to build technology that supports client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Contribute across the full product-development cycle.
- Develop and maintain data products from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to improve business processes.
- Engage in continuous iteration and performance analysis of software solutions.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with object-oriented programming.
- Excellent skills in object-oriented or functional analysis and design.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and maintenance.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and modern development workflows.
- Experience managing containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Understanding of data structures, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with large language model (LLM) frameworks.
- Interest in agentic workflows, autonomous AI systems, and MCP agent development.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- This role is based in New York, New York.
- The internship is a full-time, on-site position.
- The program runs for approximately 10 weeks, from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- This is a paid internship with an expected prorated salary of approximately $135,000 USD.
