About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience as a full-stack software developer. You will work within our Software Development department to support our custom applications and interfaces. This is a full-time, paid position based in Dallas. You will work in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Train as a full-stack developer through a mix of research, coding exercises, and project work.
- Complete development tasks pulled from various Scrum team backlogs.
- Write and maintain code using C#, Razor, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MVC, WebForms, and SQL.
- Follow established programming standards and apply software patterns to your code and automated tests.
- Use Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Azure Pipelines for CI/CD tasks.
- Manage code changes by searching repositories, updating release variables, and submitting Pull Requests.
- Provide regular progress updates to your manager.
- Learn about our business operations and document your findings in markdown.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Management of Information Systems bachelor's degree program.
- Senior year status is preferred, with graduation expected by August or December 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completion of at least one programming class or a portfolio of projects in one language.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization. We do not sponsor visas.
- Curiosity about technology and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for Microsoft technologies and a genuine interest in problem solving.
