About the role#
The Business Strategy team sits at the center of Lazard Asset Management. We partner with investment, sales, finance, operations, and technology teams to set priorities and drive firmwide initiatives. This 10-week summer internship allows you to work directly with the Strategic Initiatives Project Manager on business-critical projects. You will gain exposure to business planning, market analysis, and the data used by senior management to make decisions.
What you'll do#
- Perform industry and competitor research.
- Analyze business and product trends.
- Support business planning and resource allocation exercises.
- Document operating processes to identify efficiencies.
- Prepare presentation materials for senior management and governance forums.
- Participate in mentorship, networking, and volunteer opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising undergraduate senior graduating in 2028.
- You have authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- You demonstrate consistent academic achievement in a quantitative or analytical major.
- You possess prior internship or part-time work experience.
- You have leadership experience and sound judgment.
- You are fluent in Excel and PowerPoint with an ability to synthesize meaning behind data.
- You have experience with generative AI tools and are willing to learn internal systems.
- You exercise critical judgment when reviewing AI outputs.
- You have exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- You can handle sensitive information with discretion.
- You have a demonstrated interest in the asset management industry.
Location & details#
- This role is based in New York, New York.
- The internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position with a base salary of $85,000 USD.
