About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience within the Institutional Client Group at Lazard. You will work alongside sales representatives and associates to understand our client base and the strategic products we offer. The program includes mentorship, networking, and opportunities to engage with employee resource groups. You will conclude the internship by presenting a capstone project, such as a sales pitch or a white paper, on an industry topic.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and strategic products.
- Research industry trends to support sales channel business.
- Prioritize prospect lists based on firm strengths and specific client requirements.
- Assist associates with daily client requests.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative competitive analysis.
- Use research tools to deepen client relationships.
- Update presentations for portfolio managers and sales representatives.
What you'll need#
- Rising undergraduate senior graduating in 2028.
- Ability to work on-site in New York from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong leadership skills and consistent academic achievement.
- Passion for markets and investing.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.
