About the role#
This internship supports purchasing and sourcing activities within our defense and space manufacturing operations. You will assist with supplier pricing, material procurement, and order coordination. The role involves working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment, supplies, and services. You will also follow company requirements and regulatory guidelines while contributing to procurement processes.
What you'll do#
- Support the submission of RFQs to suppliers to develop pricing lists.
- Procure material, equipment, and commodity products of varying value and volume.
- Negotiate price, delivery, and quality with suppliers.
- Track purchase orders through reports, open commitments, and receiving discrepancies.
- Interface with receiving and accounting departments to resolve issues.
- Interpret FAR, DFAR, and ITAR laws regarding import and export control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or other relevant lean experience is preferred.

- Location: Palm Bay, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- Employment: Full-time and paid position.
