About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Waco, Texas, for the Summer 2026 term. You will work on-site as part of the structural engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Perform structural analysis on aircraft modifications.
- Support design tasks and prepare technical documentation to ensure airworthiness.
- Calculate stress levels in primary and secondary aircraft structures, systems, and equipment.
- Compare calculated stresses against material properties to predict potential failure.
- Evaluate structural instabilities using applicable failure theories.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field like Engineering Mechanics or Materials Science.
- Exposure to CAD or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
- Practical experience in the mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures, or mechanisms.
- A solid understanding of stress analysis and failure theories.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, which includes 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- Term: Summer 2026.
