About the role#
As an RF/Wireless Engineering Intern, you will work under close supervision to support the development of complex technical products. You will follow established procedures and receive guidance from senior staff to ensure parts and materials meet specific requirements.
What you'll do#
- Create component drawings and specifications for electro-optical, opto-mechanical, and electro-mechanical products.
- Assist engineering and purchasing teams with part selection and procurement.
- Work with internal and external labs to interpret test results and define testing protocols.
- Review supplier data and quality documentation to confirm conformance to requirements.
- Present analysis results to program engineers and customers.
- Serve as a technical consultant within your areas of expertise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field at an accredited university.
- Familiarity with electro-optical, opto-mechanical, or electro-mechanical products.
- Ability to interpret test results.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with program engineers, management, and customers.

- Location: Herndon, Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off).
- Compensation: $29.00 to $53.50 per hour.
