About the role#
This is a 12-month co-op position based in Waterdown, Ontario. You will support the production and testing of electro-mechanical systems. This role is on-site and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to guide assembly and testing.
- Assemble electro-mechanical components with attention to detail and process safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, sensors, and wire harnesses.
- Use thermal chambers and vibration tables to perform environmental screening.
- Collaborate with operation engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Document test results, maintenance, and assembly procedures.
- Handle and repair customer-owned equipment as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical or Electro-mechanical technician or technologist diploma program.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience assembling, configuring, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in loading, configuring, and verifying software on integrated hardware.
- Experience working with environmental and performance testing equipment.
- A strong focus on quality and safety standards.
