About the role#
You will join a team designing system-on-chip (SoC) hardware for non-volatile memory devices. This role involves working within the embedded software development group to validate products through every stage, from initial concept and prototyping to mass production. You will contribute to both SoC and storage solution development by writing software to test essential SoC components.
What you'll do#
- Design SoC architecture for non-volatile memory devices.
- Validate products from the concept phase through to mass production.
- Develop software to exercise and test key SoC components.
- Contribute to the development of storage solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a BS or MS degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience using Rust or C/C++ for embedded or firmware-level development.
- Familiarity with Python for scripting and testing workflows.
- Knowledge of digital circuit design, computer architecture, and memory systems.
- A PhD in SoC, high-performance computing, or memory/storage research is preferred.
- Preferred background includes knowledge of NVMe, PCIe, or NAND technology, as well as FPGA development flows.

- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Duration: 6 months.
- Compensation: $35/hr - $45/hr.
