About the role#
This is a 6-month internship position based in San Jose. You will join our team to work on firmware development for SSD products. This is a full-time, paid role requiring 40 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Write and implement firmware code for the Flash Interface Layer of our SSDs.
- Integrate your code with other modules and fix any issues that arise.
- Debug and resolve bugs within FPGA and ASIC environments.
- Work closely with the SoC, hardware, and validation teams.
- Contribute to team projects and maintain clear communication with colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing firmware for SSD or NAND controllers.
- Knowledge of NAND flash commands and operations.
- A strong background in Board Support Packages (BSP) and device drivers.
- Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG or In-Circuit Emulators.
- Skills in software design for embedded controller environments.
- Ability to read datasheets and implement firmware in real-time systems.
