About the role#
As a software engineer intern, you will contribute to storage test software development and validation. You will work on software design and development based on industry standard specifications and firmware internal algorithms. This is a full-time, 6-month internship starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Write, code, and debug software tools using C++, Python, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Design and implement storage test tools, including software design, libraries, and user-facing APIs.
- Automate tasks such as build and deployment, test integration, and performance indicator generation.
- Test and validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of developed tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation like user manuals, design documents, and release notes.
- Use AI-assisted methods for software development and documentation.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with graduation by December 2026.
- Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or node.js.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, source control, databases, operating systems, and networking basics.
- Experience with testing and debugging software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work well within a team.

- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (6 months).
- Compensation: $35/hr - $45/hr.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
