About the role#
As a Quality Assurance Test Engineer Intern, you will support the device-level testing and validation of Enterprise NVMe SSDs. You will work on developing test cases, creating scripts to verify performance against industry specifications, and maintaining lab equipment. This role involves integrating AI tools and agentic agents into daily operations to improve testing workflows.
What you'll do#
- Write test cases for features defined by PRD, NVMe, and OCP specifications.
- Create automated scripts to validate NVMe SSD compliance with standards.
- Set up test systems, including OS installations for Linux, Windows, and VMWare, as well as network configuration and firmware updates.
- Develop agentic agents using AI resources to assist with test script development and integration into the Test Management System.
- Maintain lab equipment, including enterprise servers and computer PCs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows systems.
- Experience with coding or scripting in Java or Python.
- Understanding of AI tools and workflow integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of storage, NVMe SSDs, NVMe controllers, PCIe concepts, and networking.
- Experience with VMWare ESXi, other hypervisors, and signal capturing devices like oscilloscopes.
Location & details#
- Location: San Jose, California.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
