About the role#
The Software Engineering Intern for the Cloud Platform will contribute to the development of the next-generation Customer Engagement Portal. This role involves full-stack development, including user interfaces, backend APIs, database design, and real-time collaboration features. You will work on tools that support internal-customer workflows and silicon-validation platforms.
What you'll do#
- Build frontend functionality and interactive design-visualization interfaces.
- Support backend API development within cloud and containerized environments.
- Analyze and optimize application performance and user experience using monitoring tools and feedback.
- Participate in code reviews for both frontend and backend tasks.
- Collaborate with hardware validation and design teams to improve the silicon-validation platform.
- Provide input on architectural decisions based on user requirements.
- Maintain documentation and reference implementations for internal customers.
- Support platform API releases and assist customers with workflow integration.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements while performing work duties.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as at least a sophomore, actively pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA and good academic standing.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Experience with full-stack web development, cloud platforms, containerized environments, APIs, databases, authentication, or visualization tools.
- Familiarity with real-time applications such as WebSockets, streaming data, or real-time collaboration.
- Prior internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience from work, school projects, or competitions.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate effectively.
- Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline workflows.
