About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Cape Canaveral, Florida. You will work on-site to support engineering teams, shadow actual operations, and contribute to larger projects. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis and assist in the design and development of future structures.
- Conduct analysis for completed and future launches.
- Support test, systems engineering, mission integration, quality assurance, system safety, launch operations, and production operations.
- Execute data analysis, methodology improvements, and software improvement projects.
- Conduct trade studies and design for manufacturer studies.
- Create or modify tool designs.
- Process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Maintain production work instructions and perform supplier management.
- Carry out component or integrated system tests.
- Assist experienced engineers with daily assignments.
What you'll need#
- Completed Sophomore year of college by Summer 2027.
- Actively pursuing a degree in a STEM field with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Plans to be enrolled in classes during the Fall 2027 semester.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks.
- Working knowledge of basic engineering application tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined in ITAR 22 CFR 120.62.
