About the role#
As an MRP Specialist intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the movement of materials from initial requirement to final delivery. You will work within the defense and space manufacturing sector to balance supply and demand while ensuring our production schedules remain on track.
What you'll do#
- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials.
- Define raw material requirements based on engineering and production schedules.
- Manage and action exception messages to maintain schedule adherence.
- Convert planned orders to production orders or purchase requisitions and ensure they finish on time.
- Monitor and reconcile supply chain disruptions.
- Perform initial hardware impact assessments.
- Develop and implement cost savings strategies.
- Incorporate engineering change activities.
- Lead projects assigned by leadership to meet organizational goals.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your Junior year of college by summer 2027.
- Active enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain or a related field.
- Plans to be enrolled in classes for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- High School diploma or GED.
