    About the role#

    As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting flight hardware analysis and launch operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to mission integration, system safety, and production quality. This program provides exposure to the day-to-day operations of a space launch company, allowing you to build your professional network while working on real projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform analysis on existing flight hardware and support both completed and future launches.
    • Conduct causal analysis for non-conformances and determine corrective actions.
    • Support component or integrated systems testing and maintain production work instructions.
    • Work on data analysis, software improvement projects, and manufacturer studies.
    • Shadow actual operations and gain exposure to systems engineering and mission integration.
    • Participate in events to build your network within the company.

    What you'll need#

    • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace).
    • Completion of your Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
    • Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
    • Plans to be enrolled in classes for the Fall 2027 semester.
    • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
    • Working knowledge of engineering tools like NX, SAP, Q-Notes, TeamCenter, and MiniTab.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exposure to root cause analysis methodology.

    • Locations: Decatur, Alabama; Cape Canaveral, Florida; or Denver, Colorado.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • A valid driver's license and motorized vehicle are required for assignments in Alabama and Florida.
