About the role#
This internship at L3Harris Technologies offers hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of electronics for maritime applications. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts, you will work on-site to take designs from initial concepts through to production support and product sustainment. You will work alongside senior engineers to gain experience in the full lifecycle of Circuit Card Assemblies.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and documentation of mixed-signal Circuit Card Assemblies.
- Assist with basic circuit analysis, component selection, and verification approaches.
- Help review Printed Wiring Board layouts and coordinate with fabrication teams.
- Support hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and the evaluation of prototypes.
- Develop test methods and use equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to resolve electrical issues.
- Assist with technical documentation, design reviews, and engineering presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or project experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design.
- Familiarity with schematic capture, PCB layout, or circuit-simulation tools.
- Knowledge of printed wiring boards, component selection, and electronic test equipment.
- Exposure to programming languages such as C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, VHDL, or Verilog.

- Schedule: 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).
