About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on projects that support the nation's fundamental defense services. You will join a team responsible for delivering infrastructure for U.S. Navy surface ships. This position is available on a rolling basis and offers both on-site and hybrid work options.
What you'll do#
- Design and configure hardware and network computing infrastructure for surface platforms.
- Test and troubleshoot systems in a lab environment.
- Create technical documentation to support engineering processes.
- Read and create technical drawings.
- Participate in daily team meetings to collaborate on complex problems.
- Perform hardware design, selection, evaluation, and qualification testing.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Preference for students with a standing of sophomore or higher.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
