    About the role#

    As an Electrical Engineering Intern with the Idaho Scientific group, you will join a cross-functional team focused on secure system solutions. You will work on projects involving CPU design, crypto cores, system-on-a-chip architectures, and hardened operating systems. This role supports the development of secure hardware foundations for military systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and deploy secure system solutions.
    • Work with CPU design, crypto cores, and system-on-a-chip architectures.
    • Implement and work with hardened operating systems.
    • Design, debug, test, and document technical solutions.
    • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers in a security-focused environment.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
    • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
    • A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred.
    • Experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS, digital logic, Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA development, or ASIC design flow is helpful.
    • Ability to document technical solutions and demonstrate hands-on problem solving through academic, lab, or internship projects.

    Location & details#

    • This position is located in Boise, Idaho.
    • The role is primarily on-site, with some hybrid flexibility available based on manager discretion.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
