About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student, you will support the pharmacy team by assisting with daily operations and patient care tasks. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy environment while working under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. You will help maintain workflow efficiency and ensure high standards of service.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities that do not require professional pharmacist judgment.
- Enter patient information into the system with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct post fill audits (PFAs) to ensure quality control.
- Support the pharmacy in providing and maintaining Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.
- Provide shift leadership to support workflow and pharmacist oversight, including delegating tasks and resolving operational issues.
- Train and support pharmacy associates and new technicians.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current certification in immunizations or the ability to obtain it.
