About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role is designed for students who want to build meaningful relationships with patients and contribute to their community health.
What you'll do#
- Perform pharmacy tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy and health products.
- Help implement company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
- Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, vaccinations, MTM, point of care testing, and disease state management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules based on business needs.
- A cooperative attitude and the ability to work well within a team.

- Location: Leesburg, Virginia.
- Type: Part-time, on-site.
- Sponsorship: Available for F-1, OPT, H-1B, and TN candidates.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
