About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a pharmacy program who want to build relationships with patients and practice in a community-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process prescriptions in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and healthcare professionals on drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and cooperate with colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules based on business needs.
