About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for pharmacy students. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while working under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on clinical services, patient care, and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor.
- Manage prescription fulfillment in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice to customers and healthcare professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services such as immunizations, point of care testing, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives designed to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- The ability to work well within a team and cooperate with others.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules.
