About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship for pharmacy students. You will work on-site under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor. The role focuses on gaining practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting while supporting clinical services and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals about drug therapy and health products.
- Focus on patient counseling and provide customer service.
- Assist with over-the-counter medications.
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations.
- Participate in clinical services, including MTM, point-of-care testing, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by your location.
- Ability to adapt to changes in your schedule and work priorities.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
